Welcome to our Mini-Thematic Unit on Non-Violent Peace Movements
We will focus on the film "Gandhi" but first some background on the British and the History of India. 1.

2. Start with an APK by asking students to write anything they know about Gandhi on the board. Let's create a web of information! On the white board.

3. Next, we will watch a quick and mini biography of Gandhi. 3:34 in length.
4. We will look at John Green's Crash Course in History series as a more intellectual examination of the History of India. We will watch part of the Epic Battle of History, but we will be cutting out some sections due to swearing.
Discussion: Our discussion portion of this film will be completed online in our Scholantis Blog Forum. Instead of our lit circle style discussions, students will develop their own questions and engage in their own conversations online. Students will be empowered to run their own forum discussions.
