Special Issues in Policing - Body Cams
1. Hook: This unit is about perspectives and the importance of gaining multiple perspectives on an issue. We will start with a funny Monty Python clip which illustrates the need to examine perspectives.

2. First, lets talk about Bias
Definition of Bias: (See two videos) We need to be able to recognize that we all have biases and they are the lens through which we view the world. The key to making better decisions and to learn more deeply is to recognize those biases. 3. A. Body Cameras should be mandatory
B. Police can choose whether or not to wear body cameras
C. Body cameras are too flawed to be used and should be used sparingly
D. Body cameras should never be used because they invade privacy and can be manipulated
*Students in the past have said that the two New York times articles are too short and uninformative.
