LESSON ONE - COMPLETED December 1st-4th
1. Prior to Online Learning - we looked at the slideshow below and it tells the story of the Russian Revolution visually.

But why study the history of communism and a revolution that took place 100 years ago?
Currently we are once again under the spectre of nuclear war as a result of the communist North in Korea. Here are two videos that show the history of North Korea. Then, we will follow the history all the way back to Karl Marx and the idea of communism. Thus, demonstrating the relevance of learning history.

LESSON 2 - TO Be Completed December 9th (If not already done)
1. Watch these two videos for an overview of Russian Revolution.

2. REVIEW: Examine the political Spectrum below. This is review of other years. Communism is on the left. There are notes on Communism later in the lesson.
3. Activity: Students will take out their smartphones and do the worlds smallest political quiz. http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz/

4. Students - Review "Learning Targets" below. Open the PDF document. We will learn all of these ideas and vocabulary by the end of the Unit. You will have several project options to demonstrate you know those words.
