Crime Podcast Unit

Possible Ideas:
Teacher chooses a podcast for students to listen to.
Students suggest crime podcasts to listen to
Teacher and Students develop a list of best crime podcasts. Students and teacher whittle down to five options. Students choose one of five options.
Activities
-Get yoga mats and students relax and listen to them on the floor in the library with the lights low.
-Students go for a hike or walk with headphones in and listen to the podcast
-Students go to a local cafe, have a latte and listen to the podcast
Assessments
-Students do a literature circle role on the podcast and then do a lit-circle discussion with classmates who listened to the same podcast.
-Students create a blog, v-log or other response to the podcast
-Students research a criminal and do their own podcast
-Students research and create own podcast.
